The National Innovator Hall of Fame 2nd edition
The Mauritius Research and Innovation Council under the aegis of Ministry of Tertiary Education, Science and Research invited applications for the National Innovator Hall of Fame (HOF).
Recognizing the global trend of rewarding innovation and its well-established link to human creativity, Mauritius must proactively support systems that acknowledge and incentivize local innovators. By fostering a culture that values and rewards ingenuity, Mauritius can attract and retain top talent, encourage risk-taking, and stimulate the creation of new knowledge and technologies. This, in turn, will drive economic growth, improve quality of life, and position Mauritius as a leader in innovation and development within the region and beyond. Thus, the objectives of the National Innovator Hall of Fame are to:
-
Recognize and reward local outstanding innovators
-
Fuel innovation and creativity among the local people
-
Gauge the level of innovation and creativity in the Republic of Mauritius
-
Catalyze the innovation culture in the younger generation

After this stage, jury members will proceed towards selection of winners and runner-up for each category. This will be announced during an award ceremony.
