Following the launch of the National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award (NPQEA), a competition organised by the National Productivity and Competitiveness Council (NPCC) in view to help local enterprises/institutions to stimulate productivity and greater efficiency, the MRIC submitted two applications (one by the SISM team and one by the Space team) by the deadline of 28th February 2024.
Eligibility included:

Improvement activity/activities related to Productivity and Quality improvement and/or Innovation, Business Excellence, Lean Management, Digital Transformation, Sustainability, etc.

Improvement activity/activities implemented in 2022/2023 and first quarter of 2024.
Following the selection of the MRIC for both applications, online training sessions on the criteria of the NPQEA 2024 were conducted by the NPCC in March 2024. Both MRIC teams presented their powerpoints on 25th and 26th April 2024 and were assessed by an external panel of jurors during the online technical assessments.
An award ceremony was held on 17th May 2024 at Restaurant Rêve d'R, Mont Mascal, Petit Raffray, where the MRIC was awarded:

The Silver Award under the category Government Departments, Parastatals and Registered Associations for The Comprehensive Revamping and Creation of Schemes/Support Mechanisms by the SISM Team.

The Bronze Award under the category Government Departments, Parastatals and Registered Associations for The Space Programme by the Space Team.
